It was the day of the introductory rites of the wedding, everyone was gathered and some family members were still coming in. It was not crowded but made up of some relatives and friends. So the parents of the girl called their daughter when the man's family stated the purpose of their visit and asked her,

"Should we accept the gifts and items this man and his people brought."

"Yes,"

"But his family has to know that according to tradition we will still find out if they are compatible or not, if they are related too or not."

That was the conclusion of Shehri's family but during the dinner feast, as they were eating, Mr. and Mrs. Tatah, Joshua's parents sat on the table eating and the same doctor who carried on the test between their son and Shehri walked into the compound and went straight up to Shehri's parents.

"I am so sorry for coming late my fellow friend, I was held back by an emergency in the hospital and I had to work beyond my normal hours on duty."

"Hello Doctor, for the very first time you showed up in my house," Papa Shehri gladly greeted,

"But I promised to be there today,"

The doctor said and Papa Shehri as her father was always referred to introduce him to his wife, "Mammy Shehri, this is that my classmate I always told you about, who left us for the medical school while we continued in the university,"

"Welcome sir, I have heard so much about you."

When he had rested his feet, Papa Shehri was anxious to introduce him to the most important guests in the traditional wedding rites. As he was sipping his palm wine, he held his cup and paraded around his compound showing him to his few friends till he finally got to the grooms family,

"Doctor, this is the handsome man and his family, they are the ones getting married to my daughter."

Then the doctor turned to Joshua's family and was shocked, "Are you not the family who came with her at the hospital the other day,"

"I am,"

"What a small world," then he turned to Papa Shehri, "Where is your daughter, is she the same girl you were with," he inquired from Joshua and he agreed.

"Let me call her for you."

"Hey, can you call my daughter for me," Papa assigned one of her daughter's friends.

Obviously Lola and Simo were also there. Then when the doctor set his eyes on the girl she drew her attention, "Please can I talk to your daughter in private?"

"No problem."

As he cornered her, Joshua's heart began to trembled, he was surely about to reveal the truth to her family and they were going to reject him during the traditional wedding itself. Or reject his bride price.

While he was with her at the corner he asked, "Did your future husband reveal to you everything about his health?"

"Of course,"

"I already knew before his family took him to you again."

"Are you ready to bear the risk?"

"He was there for me too,"

"Is your father aware of this secret?"

"No," she denied and the doctor hummed, "Hmm!" and added, "You have to know you are his only daughter."

"I love him,"

"And love is enough for you to risk your life."

"Promise to keep the secret doctor,"

"It's in our medical ethics to always keep quiet that's why I came to you. Just be sure this is what you want."

"I am sure, doctor,"

"Just be sure because he is the man and it's more risky than when the woman is the carrier."

As he was saying that and about to leave Papa Shehri who must have been eavesdropping cut in, "Why is the man risky?"

He curiously interrupted.
