filmmaker V. Shantaram and actress Jayshree, so films were always a part of her world. She started as a child artist in Subah Ka Tara and was later introduced as a heroine by her father in Geet Gaya Patharon Ne.
She went on to do popular films like Janwar, Around the World, Brahmachari, Dil Ne Pukara and Suhag Raat. She had that simple, graceful charm that suited the 60s era perfectly.
During a shoot in the US, she met American student Greg Chapman and fell in love. They got married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in 1967, and she decided to leave films at the peak of her career. She moved to Los Angeles, where they ran a custom clothing business and raised their daughter.
From Bollywood fame to a peaceful life in the US, Rajshree truly chose love and family over stardom.
