According to reports, the “Last Last” hitmaker felt a deep emotion@l connection to the devastat!ng story after hearing it discussed on The Breakfast Club radio show.
Moved by the heartbreak!ng details, Burna Boy reached out to music executive Wack 100 and Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee to offer immediate assistance to the grieving families.
In a statement, he said:
“When I heard about the children murdEred in Stockton, my heart broke. No family should ever face this kind of pa!n alone. I wanted to do whatever I could to support these parents as they begin the long process of heal!ng.”
The singer was particularly touchEd by the story of 14-year-old Amari Peterson, a student-athlete with a 3.8 GPA whose promising future was abru*ptly cut short.
Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee praised Burna Boy for his humanitarian effort, describing it as “an example of how people around the world want to help, even when they’ve never met the families impacted.”
The mass shoot!ng occurred on Saturday, November 29, inside a crowded banquet hall where 100 to 150 people had gathered for a children’s birthday party.
