Obi's Pain

Chapter 1.

Obi caught his wife cheating on him with his best friend Ekene on his matrimonial bed.

He could not believe his eyes when he saw his best friend Ekene making out with his wife Amanda.

They didn't notice at first when he got into the bedroom.

Amanda has two children for Obi; Stanley and Joy. Not for ones did he ever took his wife for a cheater.

That day he had a flight to catch to go for an important meeting, but the flight was later delayed, and eventually cancelled. He headed back home to drop off his things when he saw his best friend making out with his wife. He could not believe his eyes.

After about two minutes of him standing and watching them with shock and disbelief in his face his wife eventually saw him and immediately get up from the bed and started begging him.

Babe it's not what you think, it's the devils work. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me.

Bro, I didn't mean to, Ekene who was still laying on the bed said. He was standing up gradually to pick his boxers.

Obi at that moment didn't know how to react. The whole stress from the airport and now coming home to see this? He wanted to speak when he heard his children school bus horned right outside his gate. The Bus horn was loud enough that you could hear it from the room which has a window that could see out their house.

His children had just returned back from school. He immediately left his wife and best friend in the bedroom and came downstairs.

He welcomed his children while his wife and best friend dressed up in the bedroom and came down almost immediately.

Ekene left the house quietly, Obi asked his children how school is. He didn't want to cause any commotion because of the kids.

He allowed the wife take the children inside, undress them and gave them a cold bath.

As everything was going on, Obi was contemplating on what to do, Should he divorce his wife immediately, but what about his kids, He didn't want his kids hurt.

Many thoughts were going through Obi's mind. Why would Amanda cheat on me. I give her everything. Why? Little tears started dropping out of his eyes.

Just then his daughter calm downstairs fully dressed on her home wear, Obi didn't even noticed when his daughter came down because he was lost in thought.

Daddy are you crying? Joy asked Obi. No daddy isn't crying. Obi said as he tried to hide his tears. But there's tears on your eyes daddy. Joy said to the father.

"It's just tears of Joy". Obi replied the door. "What is tears of Joy"? Joy asked Obi.

When something unexpected happens to you, it brings you so much happiness that you become emotional and don't know how to react, you just start shading tears because of the emotion and joy brought to you. Obi said. Did you shade tears of Joy when I was Born? Joy asked the father. Of course my darling daughter. Obi replied. Now tell me how was school today? Obi asked the daughter trying ro divert the topic and she started narrating how school went to him.

After everything that day, it was finally night when the children slept off, Amanda started begging the husband.

Obi'm please this is the devils work. I didn't mean to. Amanda begged Obi. You didn't mean to have sëx with another man? Does that even make sense Amanda? Amanda I love you so much. I give you all you want. Why would you treat me like this? Obi asked the wife.

I'm sorry, it won't happen again. Amanda went down on her kneels and begged the husband.

Obi has not yet concluded on what to do to his wife.

He was thinking of giving her a second chance because of his children.

Obi left his house for about a week to clear his head. He went to work from the hotel. Since then he has not been picking his wife's call even as she kept calling non-stop.

After about a week that Obi caught his wife cheating, He was at work when the wife called him that she had a surprise for him at home. If he could spare time and comeback home.

Obi wanted to decline, but he thought about it, Maybe I ain't giving my wife enough time and attention, maybe because I'm too busy with work that is why she cheated on me. If I could start sparing little time off work, we will be good together again. He thought to himself and off he went for the surprise his wife had for him.

It was during one of school holidays and the children went to their grandma's to stay.

When Obi arrived the house, he saw the decorations they wife made. Everything look beautiful. I should forgive myself. Obi said to himself.

His wife had prepare a delicious lunch for both of them.

The started eating, and the wife served him wine. As he drank, Obi started feeling some kind of weird way in his body.

My stomach Obi cried out to his wife, His wife watched him cry for help, unmoved and unshaked, she watched her husband until he collapsed on the floor. She poisoned his food.
